Thornley Church

The Church is situated about a half mile from the junction of the A181 Hartlepool to Durham Road with the B1279 Dunelm Road in Thornley at the right hand side of the road just before a mini-round about.

The present church was built in 1968 and has had minor improvements since then. Before this there were two Methodist chapels in Thornley; Bow Street which was Primitive Methodist, and Waterloo Street, Wesleyan Methodist. Both these were in bad repair so both closed and the congregations came together into the new building.
Everyone is welcome.
